Martha Sykes

Martha was born on May 6th, 1865 in Batley and her baptism took place on July 16th, 1865 in Almondbury.¹

Birth Notes

Martha's father was Allen Sykes and her mother was Mary Ann Blackburn. Her maternal grandparents were George Blackburn and Phebe Oldham. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Benjamin, Allen, Alfred, George, Phebe, Mary and Annie. She was the third youngest of the eight children.
