John Stocks

John was born in March 1775 in Berry Brow and his christening took place on February 11th, 1776 in Almondbury.¹

John's father was John Stocks and his mother was Sarah Gledhill . He had six brothers and five sisters, named Richard, Richard, Noah, Sammy, David, James, Betty, Mary, Hannah, Sarah and Phebe. He was the third oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 24 in March 1799 in Crosland Hill. His burial was on March 17th, 1799 in Almondbury.¹
