Jno Stocks

Jno was born about 1755 in Deighton.

Birth Notes
- It appears that Ellen and Jno were not baptised, but there is a gap of 7 years between baptisms, so it is assumed that Ellen and Jon were born between 1753 and 1757 (i.e. about 1755).
  
  Perhaps when it became apparent that Jno was terminally Ill, he was baptised 2 months before he died.

Jno's father was William Stocks and his mother was Sarah Brook. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Stocks and Eliza Wilkinson. He had two brothers and six sisters, named David, Charles, Fanny, Sarah, Elizabeth, Ellen, Mary and Rachel. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died in December 1775 in Deighton. His burial was on December 31st, 1775 at St. Peter (Huddersfield).¹
