Charlotte Stocks

Charlotte was born in 1824 in Marsden.¹

  There is no 1823-24 Salendine Nook Meeting House birth record for Charlotte Stocks. Therefore she may be illigitimated and/or adopted.

Charlotte's father was Job Stocks and her mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Ainley. Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin Stocks and Sarah Cliffe. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Edward, Thomas, Caroline, Ann and Betty. She was the fifth oldest of the six children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named William, Eliza and Sarah.
