Benjamin's father was George (Homer) W Stocks and his mother was Miriam (Myram) E Epworth. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Stocks and Sarah (Sally) Campinot; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Epworth and Mary Ellin. He had five brothers and a sister, named Joseph, James, Job, Silas, Samuel and Mary. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia at the age of 70 on February 19th, 1922 in Kansas (KS).¹
