Job W Stocks, a retired farmer residing at 1048 West Decatur street in the city of Decatur, is numbered amongst the native sons of Ohio, his birth having occurred in Ross county, that state on the 28 March, 1860. He is a son of George and Miriam (Epworth) Stocks and is of English decent.Death Notes

Age 73
Job W Stocks, 72. formerly a well known farmer of Macon County, IL died Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs Olive Nolton, in Newton, Kan., where he had been making his home for the last five or six years. He had been in failing health for a year or more.
Mr Stocks spent most of his life in Macon county whee he was known to most people in the Mount Zion and Lake City communities, where he was engaged in farming nearly all his active life. His wife died in Newton, Kan., in July 1928.
He is survived by three children, Arthur Stocks of Lake City, Mrs Olive Nolton and Otis Stocks of Newton Kan. He also leaves a brother Samuel B Stocks of East Moline. The bidy will arive in Dacatur Thursday morning and will be taken to the Dawson and Wiikoff Funeral Home.
