Nora was born about 1913 in Birkenhead.¹

Birth Notes

Nora's father was Owen Stanton and her mother was Mary Jane Hughes. Her paternal grandparents were William Stanton and Catherine Hughes; her maternal grandparents were William Hughes and Lucy Eddowes. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Edmund, Thomas, James, Owen, Lucy, Mary and Agnes. She was the second youngest of the eight children.
