Birth Notes

Mary's father was Owen Stanton and her mother was Mary Jane Hughes. Her paternal grandparents were William Stanton and Catherine Hughes; her maternal grandparents were William Hughes and Lucy Eddowes. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Edmund, Thomas, James, Owen, Lucy, Nora and Agnes. She was the third youngest of the eight children.
