Samuel Sherlock

Samuel was born in March 1870 in Birkenhead.¹

Samuel's father was Samuel Sherlock and his mother was Lydia Eddowes. His maternal grandparents were John Eddowes and Mary Whitfield. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Henry, Richard, Lydia, Mary, Alice and Adeline. He had an adopted brother named John. He died at the age of 5 in September 1875 in Liverpool.²

General Notes
- There was a Samuel in boarding school in Birkenhead in 1881, whilst his two brithers stayed with their parents in Kirkdale, Lancashire. However, two Samuel Sherlocks were born in Birkenhead in 1869/70, so this is likely to be the wrong one.
