James Roberts

James was born in 1815 in Foulridge and his baptism took place on May 27th, 1815 at St. Bartholomew's (Colne).¹

James' father was James Roberts and his mother was Jenny (Jane) Wilson. His paternal grandparents were James Roberts and Lucy Coulthurst. He had a brother and two sisters, named Henry, Jane and Eleanor. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Thomas, John, Frank, Barnard, Maria, Amy, Ann and Martha. He died at the age of 17 in April 1832 in Foulridge. He was buried on April 28th, 1832 at St. Bartholomew's (Colne).²
