Eleanor Roberts

Eleanor was born in March 1818 in Foulridge and her baptism took place on April 29th, 1817 at St. Bartholomew's (Colne).¹

Eleanor's father was James Roberts and her mother was Jenny (Jane) Wilson. Her paternal grandparents were James Roberts and Lucy Coulthurst. She had two brothers and a sister, named Henry, James and Jane. She was the youngest of the four children. She had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Thomas, John, Frank, Barnard, Maria, Amy, Ann and Martha.
