Abraham was born in September 1862 in Birkenhead.¹

Birth Notes

Abraham's father was James Proctor and his mother was Mary Brereton. His maternal grandparents were Abraham Brereton and Ann Orrett. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Abraham, John, Mary, Anna, Elizabeth, Sarah and Mary. He was the third oldest of the eight children.
