Harry's father was Robert Parry and his mother was Emma Eddowes. His maternal grandparents were George Eddowes and Mary Jones. He had three brothers and four sisters, named George, Robert, John, Harriet, Elizabeth, Emma and Agnes. He was the oldest of the eight children.
