Annie was born in February 1875 in Little Neston and her baptism took place on February 2nd, 1875 in Neston.1 2  Annie's father was Thomas Oxton and her mother was Alice Oxton.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Oxton and Rachel Williams. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Moses, Joseph, Henry, Elizabeth, Rachel, Jane and Sarah.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  She died at 1 months old in March 1875 in Little Neston.3
