Mary was born on April 3rd, 1870 in Parbold and her baptism took place on May 22nd, 1870 in Upholland.1 2  Mary's father was Richard Orrell and her mother was Sarah Gorse.  Her paternal grandparents were George Orrell and Mary Molyneux; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Gorse and Alice Mawdsley. She had five brothers and a sister, named George, Thomas, George, Richard, Henry and Alice.  She was the oldest of the seven children.




Mary's family with William  Ainsworth

‌Mary and William  were married in a religious ceremony on August 17th, 1895 in Belmont.3  They had four sons and a daughter, named Jonathan, Peter, George, John and Sarah.  There are possibly more children.
