Margaret Murphy 
Margaret was born in 1862 in Ceylon.1 Margaret's father was Sgt John Mather and her mother was Catherine Murphy. Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Jane Welsby. She had a brother named Edward. She was the older of the two known children. She had four half-brothers and five half-sisters, named John, Peter, William, James, Mary, Rosetta, Ellen, Elizabeth and Eliza.-
