Sarah was born in 1858 in Little Bolton.¹

Birth Notes

Sarah's father was James Mather and her mother was Mary Stott. Her paternal grandparents were Charles Mather and Mary Dawson. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Charles, John, James, Mary, Emma, Nancy, Louisa, Alice and Annie. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children. She died about 1863 in Little Bolton.
