Emma was born in 1855 in Little Bolton.¹

Birth Notes

Emma's father was James Mather and her mother was Mary Stott. Her paternal grandparents were Charles Mather and Mary Dawson. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Charles, John, James, Mary, Nancy, Sarah, Louisa, Alice and Annie. She was the third oldest of the ten children. She died in 1855 in Little Bolton.¹
