Samuel Mather

Samuel was born in 1868 at Bolton Emmanuel.¹

Samuel's father was Henry Mather and his mother was Maria Duckworth (Thompson). His paternal grandparents were James Mather and Margaret Stockton (Slater). He had four brothers and three sisters, named James, Jesse, Ernest, Thompson, Margaret, Sarah and Lottie. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
