Ernest Joseph Mather

Ernest's father was Henry Mather and his mother was Maria Duckworth (Thompson).  His paternal grandparents were James Mather and Margaret Stockton (Slater). He had four brothers and three sisters, named James, Samuel, Jesse, Thompson, Margaret, Sarah and Lottie.  He was the third youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 16 in 1895 in Halliwell.  He was buried in 1895 at St. Peter (Halliwell).²
