Samuel Mather

Samuel was born in 1779 in Ringley and his baptism took place on January 5th, 1780 at St. Saviour (Ringley).¹²

Samuel's father was John Mather and his mother was Eunice Ashton. He had a brother and a sister, named Thomas and Rosy. He was the youngest of the three children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named John, Smalshaw and Rosamond.

General Notes
- From 1812 to 1826 Samuel and Margaret had Rosey buried and Frances, Unice and Maria, all baptised at Ringley and abode Kearsley.
  
  In 1841, Samuel (60) was with Unice i.e. Eunice (22), Martha (18) and Maria (15), at Riley Row, Kersley.
  
  Samuel may have had a brother Thomas (1874-1860) who had a daughter Frances Mather (b.1816, Manchester)
