Rosy's father was John Mather and her mother was Eunice Ashton. She had two brothers named Thomas and Samuel. She was the oldest of the three children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named John, Smalshaw and Rosamond. She died at the age of 5 on July 8th, 1776 in Ringley.¹
