Rosamond's father was Samuel Mather and her mother was Margaret Dawson.  Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Eunice Ashton. She had two brothers and five sisters, named James, Francis, Maria, Alice, Eunice, Martha and Maria.  She died in 1812 in Kearsley.  She was buried on July 3rd, 1812 at St. Saviour (Ringley).²
