Samuel Mather

Samuel was born on November 3rd, 1813 in Bury and his baptism took place on November 21st, 1813 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Bury).¹²

Samuel's father was James Mather and his mother was Mary Evans. His paternal grandparents were Robert Madther and Betty (Elizabeth) Ripson. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Robert, Richard, James, Sarah and Mary. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 63 in October 1877 in Haslingden. His burial was on October 8th, 1877 at St. Paul (Bury).²³
