Mary Mather

Mary was born on January 8th, 1806 in Walmersley and her baptism took place on February 9th, 1806 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Bury).¹²

Mary's father was James Mather and her mother was Mary Evans. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Madther and Betty (Elizabeth) Ripson. She had four brothers and a sister, named Robert, Richard, James, Samuel and Sarah. She was the second oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 78 in March 1884 in Bury.³
