Sarah Mather

Sarah was born on January 8th, 1805 in Walmersley and her baptism took place on February 3rd, 1805 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Bury).¹

Sarah's father was James Mather and her mother was Mary Evans. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Madther and Betty (Elizabeth) Ripson. She had four brothers and a sister, named Robert, Richard, James, Samuel and Mary. She was the oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 85 in April 1890 in Birtle. Her burial was on April 4th, 1890 in Bury.²³
