11 Jul 1881, Richard Mather (20) a collier, son of John Mather a labourer married Rachel Teesdale (18), daughter of Jonathan Teesdale, a collier at Haigh and Aspull Parish Church.
In 1885, The family must have been in Northumberland, where Maria was born.
