Edward died aged 44 or 48 (conflicting records), so born 1776 or 1780. Late 1780 is more likely as there is a baptism in Feb 1782.
Edward and Ruth are (the only) two unaccounted burials at Westhoughton. William is the only known possible father of Edward, but no Baptism to prove it. However, there is for William and Alice, and it seems William was married before he married Mary Green, which may explain the big (9 years) age gap between William and Mary.
