Nancy was born in June 1869 in Bolton.1  Nancy's father was Wright Mather and her mother was Margaret Barker.  Her paternal grandparents were Richard Mather and Betty (Elizabeth) Morris. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Richard, John, Isaac, Elizabeth, Agnes and Margaret.  She was the second youngest of the seven children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named James, Samuel and Mary.



Nancy's family with Joseph Furnival

‌Nancy and Joseph were married in a religious ceremony on August 3rd, 1889 at Fletcher St Wesleyan Mathodist Chapel by T. Galland Hartley  and witnessed by Richard Mather & Elizabeth Ann Schofield.2  The family line is yet to be completed.
