Birth Notes

Mary's father was John Mather and her mother was Mary Jane Miller. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Mather and Elizabeth (Betty) Marsden. She had six brothers and two sisters, named William, Isaac, John, Abraham, Henry, Harold, Esther and Ruth. She was the second oldest of the nine children.
