Esther was born on March 10th, 1888 in Samlesbury.¹

Birth Notes

Esther's father was John Mather and her mother was Mary Jane Miller. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Mather and Elizabeth (Betty) Marsden. She had six brothers and two sisters, named William, Isaac, John, Abraham, Henry, Harold, Mary and Ruth. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 66 in April 1954 in Leicestershire.
