11 Jan 1841, Mary Mather married Richard Howcroft. Later in June 1841, Richard and Mary (both 20) were at Hollins Cottages, Middle Hulton. Then Richard Howcroft (a coal miner) died, so possibly a mining accident. They had a daughter Ann baptised in 1842, after Richard had died.
21 Apr 1845 Mary (widow and daughter of John) married John Guest, and Elizabeth was born soon after. However, it appears the marriage didnt last and Mary left John.
In 1851, daughter Ann Howcroft was living with her grandparents John and Ann Mather at 31 Nobel Street, W Bolton.
From 1849 to 1856 Mary had 7 children by John Haslam. MMN = MATHER recorded for 7 births in Western Bolton.
