Jane Mather

Jane was born in 1815 in Deane and her baptism took place on March 26th, 1815 at St. Mary (Deane).¹²

Jane's father was John Mather and her mother was Ann Coup. Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Betty Edge. She had four brothers and two sisters, named James, John, Thomas, Wright, Betty and Mary. She was the third oldest of the seven children.

Death Notes
- Its possible Jane stayed single and died in 1895, aged 80. However I believe this death is for Jane Welsby wife of John Mather a weaver.

  In 1841, Jane in with her parents, aged 25.
  
  Jane did not marry John Wallis, Brickmaker of Rumworth in 1853 (that Jane was born about 1819). Nore did she marry Abraham Fitton in 1846 (she was a minor and her father was James). Neither did she marry Andrew Bentley in 1848 (also a daughter of James), nor Isaac Dodd in 1849 (a daughter of Thomas Alker).
