Elizabeth (Betty) Mather

Elizabeth, known as Betty, was born in 1813 in Deane and her baptism took place on August 1st, 1813 at St. Mary (Deane).¹

Betty's father was John Mather and her mother was Ann Coup.  Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Betty Edge. She had four brothers and two sisters, named James, John, Thomas, Wright, Jane and Mary.  She was the second oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 65 in December 1878 in Bolton.²
