Margaret Mather

Margaret was born in May 1740 in Warrington and her baptism took place on May 4th, 1740 at St. Elphin (Warrington).¹

Margaret's father was John Mather and her mother was Ellen Blinstone. Her maternal grandparents were Richard Blinstone and Margaret (?). She had eight brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, John, Thomas, Richard, Peter, Ralph, Joseph, Isaac, Ellen and Emma. She died at the age of 95 in June 1835 in Didsbury.²

- 24 Feb 1757, Margaret possibly married John Johnson, both of Warrington by licence. However she was quite young.
  
  2 Jan 1765, more likely, Magaret married 2 John Wainwright. He was also a butcher like Margaret's father and brothers.
