John Mather

John was born on July 18th, 1789 in Redvales and his baptism took place on July 19th, 1789 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Bury).¹

John's father was Francis Mather and his mother was Elizabeth Chadwick. He had four brothers and five sisters, named John, Richard, Francis, James, Mary, Hannah, Sally, Hannah and Esther.  He was the third oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 15 on November 16th, 1804 in Redvales.  He was buried on November 18th, 1804 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Bury).²
