James Mather

James was born in 1851 in Atherton.¹

James' father was James Mather and his mother was Esther Pasquill (Pasquell). His paternal grandparents were Richard Mather and Elizabeth Buckley. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William, Richard, John, Samuel, Elizabeth, Martha and Mary. He was the oldest of the eight children.
