Henry Mather

Henry was born in 1784 in Darwen and his baptism took place on May 16th, 1784 at Over Darwen Lower Chapel conducted by Reverend Robert Smalley.¹

Henry's father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Ellen Chambers. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Will, John, Thomas, John, Betty, Hannah, Ellen, Nanny, Molly and Alice. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children.

General Notes
- Henry may have married Ellen. They were both 55 in 1841, with Maria (20 and Nancy (15) at Cross Barn, Over Darwen.
  
  They were still together at Over Darwen Keys in 1851, Henry 67 and Ellen 66.
