George Mather

George's father was James Mather and his mother was Fanny Nuttall.  His paternal grandparents were Samuel Mather and Betty Walker. He had a brother and six sisters, named Samuel, Fanny, Elizabeth, Esther, Alice, Sarah and Mary.  He was the oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 41 in July 1875 in Prestwich.  He was buried on July 28th, 1875 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Prestwich).³
