Birth Notes

Ellen's father was John Mather and her mother was Ann Harper. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Mather and Betty (Elizabeth) Barlow. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Richard, James, John, Thomas, Martha, Hannah, Hannah, Ann and Martha. She was the oldest of the ten children.
