Martha was born in September 1838 in Salford.¹

Birth Notes

Martha's father was John Mather and her mother was Ann Harper. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Mather and Betty (Elizabeth) Barlow. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Richard, James, John, Thomas, Ellen, Hannah, Hannah, Ann and Martha. She was the fourth oldest of the ten children. She died at 6 months old in March 1839 in Salford.¹
