In 1851, Ellen (Wid, 53) was living with her son Joseph (33) and wife Sarah with other son Robert and wife Elizabeth a close neighbour.
In 1861, Ellen was a Dressmaker (63) with her nice and nephew Ann and John at 10 Bejing Court off Bradshaw Street.
Ellen and James were married in a religious ceremony on August 3rd, 1817 at St. Peter's (Bolton) by Curate Thomas Brocklebank.3 They had three sons and two daughters, named Joseph, Robert, Samuel, Mary and Betsy.
