      MATHER, who died April 12th 1863 (or 1868),
      Only 21 years.

      who died August 30th 1868, aged 66 years.

Elizabeth, known as Betsy, was born on September 24th, 1835 in Bolton and her baptism took place on July 5th, 1859 at Fletcher St Wesleyan Mathodist Chapel conducted by Henry H. Chettle.1 2  Betsy's father was James Mather and her mother was Alice Hartley.  Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Betty Sutcliff. She had a brother and four sisters, named Wright, Hannah, Mary, Alice and Emma.  She was the second oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 61 on December 21st, 1896 in Bolton.  She was buried in December 1896 at Tonge-with-Haulgh Cemetery.3 3
