Charlotte was born in 1806 in Manchester and her baptism took place on August 1st, 1806 at St. Mary (Deane).1  Charlotte's father was John Mather and her mother was Betty Edge. She had six brothers and five sisters, named John, James, Thomas, Richard, Wright, William, Elizabeth, Alice, Jane, Margaret and Mary.  She was the youngest of the twelve children.  She died on November 30th, 1806 in Bolton.  She was buried.2
