Betty Mather

Betty was born in 1768 in Billinge and her baptism took place on March 6th, 1768 at St. Aidan (Billinge).¹

Betty's father was Thomas Mather and her mother was Hannah Cross.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Hannah Rawlinson. She had five brothers and five sisters, named John, Henry, Thomas, Isaac, Richard, Betty, Hannah, Margaret, Ellen and Alice.  She was the fourth oldest of the eleven children.  She died at the age of 29 in April 1797 in Billinge.  She was buried on April 5th, 1797 at St. Aidan (Billinge).²
