Alice Mather

Alice was born in 1784 in Billinge and her baptism took place on October 10th, 1784 at St. Aidan (Billinge).¹

Alice's father was Thomas Mather and her mother was Hannah Cross.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Hannah Rawlinson. She had five brothers and five sisters, named John, Henry, Thomas, Isaac, Richard, Betty, Betty, Hannah, Margaret and Ellen.  She was the youngest of the eleven children.  She died at the age of 77 in December 1861 in Prestwich.  She was buried on December 19th, 1861.
