Joseph Lowe

Joseph was born in 1822 in Sharples and his baptism took place on August 12th, 1822 at St. George (Little Bolton).¹

Joseph's father was Thomas Lowe and his mother was Sarah Mather. His maternal grandparents were Solomon Mather and Martha (Matty) Ramsden. He had five brothers and two sisters, named James, Thomas, Jesse, William, George, Betty and Elizabeth. He was the fifth oldest of the eight children.
