In 1848, Joseph married Elizabeth Ellis at Bolton Register Office and in 1851, Joseph (26) was a Green Tea Dealer. He was married to Elizabeth (31) and had his brother James (21) and Ann Ellis (sister-in-law) with them. This brother James was at Toppings, Turton in 1841 and appears to be the brother of another Joseph, so Joseph and James, sons of William and Ellen Lowe, so are not of this family
