Anne was born in 1836 in Little Neston and her baptism took place on April 29th, 1836 in Neston.1 2  Anne's father was Joseph Lewis and her mother was Elizabeth Williams.  Her paternal grandparents were John Lewis and Mary; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Williams and Ann Millington. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Thomas, William, Ben, Mary, Ann and Elizabeth.  She was the third youngest of the eight children.



Anne's family with James Fairhurst

‌Anne and James were married in a religious ceremony on January 3rd, 1859 in Prescot.3  They had seven sons and three daughters, named Thomas, Joseph, James, Louis, Peter, John, William, Mary, Elizabeth and Ann.  There are no more children.
