Hannah was born in September 1760 in Beeston and her baptism took place on September 21st, 1760 at St. Boniface (Bunbury).1  Hannah's father was Richard Ledsham and her mother was Ann Lucas.  Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin Richard Ledsham and Mary Sellers; her maternal grandparents were Richard Lucas and Elizabeth Chancelour. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Richard, William, Sarah, Mary, Ann and Martha.  She was the youngest of the seven known children.

‌Hannah and James were married in a religious ceremony on July 9th, 1786 at St. Boniface (Bunbury).2  They had three daughters named Anne, Anne and Hannah.
